Using with UISP

BlissRADIUS Embedded supported feateres for Ubiquiti UISP are very limited at the moment.

It is assumed that you have completed installation procedure for UISP and that you are familiar with correct program starting procedure.

Before you will be able to authenticate clients you have to configure RADIUS settings too.

Usage

Every active UCRM service that has custom attributes named RADIUS username, RADIUS password and RADIUS framed IP (or any variation of it regardless of character case and spaces) can be used to authenticate users.

Username is case sensitive when authenticating user, and framed IP can be either static singe IP or range, as defined in BlissRADIUS Embedded's service option "Framed IP".

For download/upload speed limiting UISP UI fields are used. Mikrotik-Rate-Limit and WISPr-Bandwidth-Max-Down/Up RADIUS attributes are issued, so it will work with most NAS types. Burst modes are not implemented yet.

Current limitations

Compared to other billing systems UISP has certain limitations at the moment:

• All communication is mono directional at the moment, it is initiated only from BlissRADIUS Embedded's side.

• There are no hooks and callbacks from UISP back to RADIUS, meaning when you change service parameters on UISP side, there will be delay before RADIUS picks it up.

• There is no way to integrate UI elements into UISP at the moment, so all service reports area available only at BlissRADIUS Embedded's UI.

• Username uniqueness is not enforced.
