Using in local mode

BlissRADIUS Embedded can work without host billing software. All product and service administration is done via built-in web interface.

It is assumed that you have completed installation procedure for local mode and that you are familiar with correct program starting procedure.

Before you will be able to authenticate clients you have to configure RADIUS settings too.

Advantages and disadvantages

Local mode is intended for minimal or ad hoc setups where all RADIUS accounting features are required but billing and client interaction is not.

As there is no billing, many automation features are not present. Up side is that all features like rate limiting, daily and DB quotas etc. are all present, there is no need for third party billing software.

• Everything is managed by single super user account, there are no access levels or multiple operators.

• There is no billing so there are no payments, invoices, currencies, payment gateways etc.

• There is no service automation or auto suspension, they are managed by hand including top-ups.

• There is no client portal.
